Whats On

Voices Unlimited is a very friendly, vibrant community choir based in Charlbury who have been singing together since May 2006 We sing world harmony music from many shores including Africa, Israel, Georgia, UK, France as well as music written by contemporary British composers and some religious music. We sing mainly a ccappella although we also accompany ourselves too at times on piano, guitar, whistles, flute, percussion. Music is learnt both aurally and using music. We are lead by the singing teacher, Katherine Lucas, who has many years experience teaching community music(www.kismet-music.co.uk). Our aims are primarily to enjoy making music together which we do by meeting to sing once a week in term time. We perform at local events such as Charlbury Open Gardens, Charlbury Beer Festival and events further afield such as the Warwick Choirs Festival and Sing For Water, London. Once a year we put on our own concert.

New Members: We are generally open to new members of any age though at times we get too big for our space and have to close the doors for a while. We are very sorry to have to do this and open them again as soon as we can. We do not audition. You do not need to have had any previous experience of singing in a choir.

Sessions: We meet on Tuesday nights in term time at the Friends Meeting House, Market St, in Charlbury 7.15pm for a 7.30 start 9.30 pm We make a charge of 4 conc/5 full price per session if you commit to half a term or 5 conc/6 full price if you drop in.
