Harvest Supper 2009

On Sunday October 4th the village hall was seasonally decorated for the harvest supper that followed the service held in St Mary's church, which was also adorned with flowers and produce.

Over thirty people enjoyed smoked salmon, crudites and dips accompanied by a glass of wine or a soft drink. The convivial company then sat down to be served with a tasty casserole as a main course.

The meal was concluded with a selection of the famous Swerford puddings served buffet style. They were so delicious that seconds and even thirds were enjoyed by many!

Everyone had a good time and proceeds from the event will go directly to the Friends of St Mary's to help maintain the village church.
