Despite the showers a record number of people attended the Swerford Nostalgia Day, and enjoyed the excellent refreshments as well as the display in the village hall.

There was a fascinating collection of photographs of former Swerford inhabitants and a series of 'then and now' pictures of residents taken outside their houses.

Emergency supplies of rolls and burgers had to be rushed in to meet the demand.

There was a selection of the renowned Swerford home bakes to enjoy with tea or coffee in the afternoon and packed cakes to take home to extend the enjoyment of the day.
