Many houses have wreaths on their gates or front doors and some have decorated fences.

A festive social evening was held in the village hall.

The village market had a seasonal theme and at the Monday linedancing class the dancers (mostly reindeer and Santa Clauses!) matched their steps to carols and Christmas songs instead of country tunes.

The church was lit by candles for the annual carol service in the church.

Carol singers

Traditionally on Christmas Eve a group of carol singers goes from house to house to raise money for charity. This year £252.82 was raised for the Friends of St Mary's church.
