Welcome
We are very excited about starting a Beaver group in Minster Lovell and welcome you all. There is also a Cub and Scout section running at Minster Lovell. A waiting list is now in place for the Beavers and Cubs.

Beaver Scouts are usually aged between six and eight years old. They belong to the first and youngest section in the Scouting family. Easily recognised by their turquoise sweatshirts, Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others. We meet together once a week at the Minster Lovell Scout Hut. Please contact us if you require any further information.

The organised and planned programme is a Balanced Programme over a term/year. Some of the values have changed from a badge and award driven culture to one that ensures that all young people experience a quality programme covering a wide range of subjects. This is a balanced programme divided into Programme Zones. Programme Zones split the whole programme into practical sessions. There are five Programme Zones in Beaver Scouting: Getting to Know Other People , Learning About Yourself , Exploring the World Around Us , Discovering Creativity and Practical Skills , Discovering Beliefs and Attitudes. These Zones provide various methods giving variety and range to the sessions.
Beavers are given opportunities to most of the following: Help others, Play games, Explore their world, Prayer, Listen to stories, Go on visits, Make things, Meet new people, Act, sing and make music, Chat, Go outdoors, go on sleepovers and attend camps.
The Beaver Scout Promise is: “I promise to do my best, To be kind and helpful, And to love God.” (The Beavers say this promise when they are invested )
