Land Registry Advice 13 May 2010

I have consulted the Land Registry on several occasions during the past six months about the correct method of preparing an application to register parish land. Conflicting methods have been advised by different officers. Hitherto I have not been able to elicit a definitive legal response. What follows is the outcome of a recent consultation conducted by an official of the Gloucester office of the Land Registry following my discussion with her. The text is a response which reflects a hybrid format combining the elements of an application for voluntary first registration with an application for registration by adverse possession. I have withheld the name and contact details of the official because this document is being published. V F Weinstein (Parish Clerk, Little Tew Parish Meeting) 16 May 2010
