The evidence that it works

 The evidence for the effectiveness of Mindfulness is compelling. For example, it can help to reduce instances of recurrent depression in patients. It can also benefit people with chronic health problems, by reducing their experience of pain.

 The clinical research has demonstrated the effectiveness of Mindfulness-based therapies to such a degree that the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) now recommends Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) as a treatment for people suffering from recurrent depression.
