Footpaths in Hanborough Parish

Bridle Way 14

From Park Lane, NE of property "High Thatch" leading NW and SW to corner of Hyde Rd at Swan Bridge, near the N end of FP 13, S of the River Evenlode.

(Hyde Lane is a short section of track from Swan Bridge going east alongside the River Evenlode.)

RUPP 15

From FP 7 and BR 16 at the W end of Millwood End Rd SW across FP 19 to FP 20 at the Woodstock to Witney Rd (A4095), opposite the turn to Freeland.

Width reduced by Magistrates Court Order confirmed 20.12.80 (from 60 ft to 25 ft). Formerly described as CRB.
It should be pointed out that on the 2 May 2006 the re- designation of Roads Used as a Public Path (RUPPs) under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 took place).
All RUPPs shown on the Definitive Map and Statement have now been re-designated as Restricted Byways.

This means that on this path you may no longer drive any motorised vehicle.

From FP 7 and RUPP 15 at the W end of Millwood End leading W along the S boundary of Abelwood to FPs 17 & 18 and North Leigh BR 11 at the North Leigh Parish boundary.

Footpath 17

From FP 18 and BR 16, and North Leigh BR 11 at the North Leigh Parish boundary at the SW corner of Abelwood, leading N and NE along the North Leigh Parish boundary to North Leigh FP 13 at the footbridge on the North Leigh Parish boundary, N of Abelwood and SW of Combe Weir.


Footpath 18

From BR 16 and FP 17, at the SW corner of Abelwood, leading S along the North Leigh Parish boundary to FP 19 and North Leigh FPs 12 & 13 at the NE corner of North Leigh Common (The Demesnes).


Footpath 19

From the Woodstock to Witney Rd (A 4095), at Gallows Close, leading W across RUPP 15 and the NW end of FP 20 to FP 18 and North Leigh FPs 12 & 13 at the North Leigh Parish boundary at the NE corner of North Leigh Common (The Demesnes).

Footpath 20

From RUPP 15 at the Woodstock to Witney Rd (A4095), opposite the turn to Freeland, leading NW to FP 19.

This Footpath no longer continues further on.
Extinguishment Order confirmed 13.6.82.(This is from FP 19 to FPs 17 & 18 and BR 16)

From the Woodstock to Witney Rd (A 4095) leading S to Roosevelt Rd.


Footpath 23

From the A 4095 near Hanborough Bridge leading SE for 60m.

a)Road stopped up subject to the retention of FP rights 4.2.56
b) Path is a cul-de- sac.
