www.hanboroughcc.co.ukChairman's column.
The 2008 season sees captaincy changes for both teams. Rob Lovick has been elected as 1st XI Captain, and Dave Burgess has been elected as 2nd XI Captain - best wishes to you both.
The Club has taken the unprecedented step of signing an overseas player for the 2008 season. It is hoped that this will enable us to improve the general standard of our play, and help with player coaching and development.
I would also like to thank Ken Field and the HPFA for given us permission to erect an outdoor net at the ground. Finally a big thank you to all our sponsers and supporters, and here's to an enjoyable season.
Matthew Busby, Club Chairman.
President's Column.
Cricket Seasons seem to come and go and a rate of knots, it must be a sign of getting old.
Last season, along with the awful weather, was a bit of a struggle. However we managed to stay up and everyone worked
hard and seemed to enjoy their cricket none-the- less. Let's hope that things improve for the 2008 season - and not least the boolming weather !
The 2nd XI had another successful season and were unlucky not to gain promotion. I hope the youngsters keep improving, I am sure they will be pushing for 1st XI places soon!
Best of luck to both Team Captains. Here's to a successful season for everyone at the Club.
Harry Foot, Club President.
