Welcome to Finstock Parish Council's website. Finstock: The place frequented by woodpeckers.

Finstock is a village and civil parish of around 700 inhabitants, located about 2 miles (3 km) south of Charlbury in Oxfordshire, England. The parish is bounded to the northeast by the River Evenlode, to the southeast partly by the course of Akeman Street Roman road, and on other sides by field boundaries. Finstock supports a lively community life - we have a popular village pub selling various local Real Ales as well as good food; the school is thriving and a small community owned and run shop provides a great range of products - food and otherwise - for all. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and provides the perfect location for an afternoon stroll, or even something longer if you have the time. Finstock is a separate civil and ecclesiastical parish of about 350 homes, a primary school, one pub, one shop and one church.

The Parish Council's aim for this website is to provide local information for local people, their families and friends, and to show other people anywhere what a vibrant village this is.
