PUTTING GRAFFITI IN ITS PLACE

« Eynsham youngsters received an unexpected invitation - to paint graffiti on a kickwall in the Oxford Road skateboard park - on 26 October 2006.
The wall was specially chosen for graffiti use because Eynsham residents have identified vandalism as their #1 priority to tackle locally. Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) members hope that it will stop this type of criminal damage occurring elsewhere in the village. Click on any image to enlarge. New look 2008 below

and our local graffiti artist could only wait for the paint to dry.

Thames Valley Police recently invited youngsters to design a poster to help in the fight against criminal damage in their village.

The winning design in the 9-14 age category came from Jack Buss-Keating of Eynsham, seen here receiving his prize ..

and helping his brother prepare the kick wall for another artistic effort.

NAG members finishing off the paint job, with help from local police officers Gordon Richardson and Richard Connor.

Funding was provided by Eynsham Parish Council.
