EYNSHAM ECO CLUB
The Eco Schools programme encourages schools to address their environmental impact, looking at issues such as transport & travel, food miles and energy efficiency. Eynsham Primary School is heavily involved; members of the Eco-Club were digging up some potato plants on Friday 27 June, to see which school gets the biggest yield. Plant waste was all carted off to the compost heap (of course). Non- competition potatoes will be grown on, for sale at the school fair. Thanks to parent helpers who turn up each week, as well as Lindsey Gidlow from the school. MORE VOLUNTEERS WELCOME to a school grounds day on 13 July, to help tidy up for the end of term.
