Neighbourhood Care Scheme
Arranges transport for elderly &
infirm to hospitals, clinics etc. A
free service by volunteers;
envelopes are provided for donations
(suggested sum: Oxford £10, Witney £5,
in the village £2).
During the six
months ending 31 March 2008 the
volunteers have driven no fewer than
205 journeys to appointments and the
day centre - travelling 2099 miles.
Donations of £807.30 have been
received, unfortunately £32.30 short of
our expenditure. Only five times were
we unable to provide transport.
Envelopes were provided for donations,
enabling a small petrol allowance to be
paid to the drivers.
