Bankruptcy of Henry Jones IV

In 1738, Henry Jones IV inherited Chastleton fron his elder brother John. In November 1755 he was imprisoned in Oxford castle for four months, probably, but not certainly, because he was bankrupt. A document setting out his financial situation is below, together with a list of supporting documents in the Chastleton Estate archive held at the Oxford History Centre.
