Uganda Presentation 2005

Two students from Burford School impressed the Carterton Educational Trust at Carterton Town Hall with a talk about their experiences of Uganda.

Jade Robinson and Sam Muir, pictured with Geoff Clifford, Chairman of the Trust, were part of a group of 13 students who went to Kalangala, an island on Lake Victoria, in July.
|
The students raised money for the three- week trip through sponsorship and events like a danceathon, and Sam, 16, of Davis Close, Carterton, and Jade, 18, of Campion Close, Carterton, were awarded £150 each by the Trust.
On their return, they gave a presentation to trustees at the town hall. Mr Clifford said: "It was wonderful to hear such enthusiasm about their trip."
