The Museum is open every afternoon Tuesday to Saturday and Bank Holiday Mondays. 2pm to 4pm throughout the summer from 31st March to the end of October Admission is £1.00, Children under 16 are free but must be accompanied by an adult. School Visits at any convenient time by arrangement. Group Visits can be accommodated at other times by arrangement. The Museum is located on the first floor with stair access only.

The special exhibition this year, 2008, shows photographs of shops in the town and how they have changed . There is also an exhibit of the Oddfellows 'The Old Elm Tree Lodge'
