Insurance and mill stone

The fire plaque on the wall of Tanners Mill. Before the days of a regular fire service your home might well have burnt down if one of these insurance plaques was not seen

The mill has two pairs of mill stones- One pair of French burr stones, and one set of Derbyshire Peak stones, the latter has a cast iron manufactures plate as in this photo.
