FLY POSTING

More news from WODC - this time for those of you who advertise events using posters displayed by the roadside or 'fly-posted' on walls and posts etc. The Council has developed a fly-posting protocol and may remove signs which do not comply with their guidance:

- Only put up signs which relate to a specific local event - they should ideally include the contact details of an organiser
|
- Don't put up signs more than 2 weeks before the event
- Take them down immediately afterwards
- Don't use excessive numbers of signs by the highway
- Ensure that signs are safe and are not a hazard to public safety
